About Our Company:

Our aim is to create beautiful places that will be loved by the people who use them. We are guided by the philosophy of wholeness, where every part of the structure contributes to a coherent whole. We design functional spaces to support and embrace our clients’ needs, the larger community, and the environment. Sustainability and historic preservation are incorporated into our projects as a natural outgrowth of wholeness-based design.

Saikley Architects has done over 400 projects in 40 cities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our design spans modern to historic; single family homes, multi-family, childcare centers, commercial and industrial site development. Saikley Architects is a collaborative of experienced architects and supporting staff who work closely with our clients and each other to give detailed attention to each project.

We are a small enough firm that principal Alexandra Saikley leads the design on every project and is in close contact with all of our clients. At the same time, we are large enough to get projects done quickly and bring the benefit of different architects’ skills to our projects. Our ongoing relationships with contractors, engineers, fabricators, and artisans, as well as city and county officials, many of whom we have worked with for years, enable us to address our clients’ needs creatively and effectively.

Saikley Architects was founded in 2003. Our office is in Alameda, California.

Saikley Architects focuses on residential architecture - new homes and additions, single family and small multi-family projects - throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, California and beyond. Project locations:

Statement of Licensure:

Licensed in California, C-23195.

NCARB Certification: Architect is NCARB certified.

* The NCARB certification often expedites reciprocity - the process through which one can offer his or her professional services in different jurisdictions after earning an initial license. This means that if an NCARB certified architect is not licensed in your state, the process for getting him/her licensed there in order to work on your project will be fairly quick.
